Who Are the 2020 Sports Hall of Fame Inductees? 

Individual Inductees

LD Bell High School volleyball and basketball star, Elizabeth qualified for the 1984 Texas Junior Olympic volleyball and basketball teams. She was second team all-district in basketball her sophomore year and first team all-district as a junior and senior. In volleyball, she was first team all-district every year at BHS. In 1984, Elizabeth played both basketball and volleyball in the Texas Coaches East-West All-Star games. She received a full scholarship to Texas A&M for basketball and was on the starting team as a freshman.

Andy Cargile
​Coach/Administrator Category

Andy was a coach for four years in HEB, seven in Dallas and two in Grand Prairie. He was Trinity High School Principal for 10 years and has been on the HEB School Board since 2008. He has volunteered in Little Dribblers and girls softball. He played in State Basketball finals in high school. He also played college basketball and was captain of the team as well as All-Conference. He was Coach of the Year in Dallas and was inducted into The Thomas Jefferson High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

Kyle is very successful youth sports coach whose resume includes 30 years of football (MCPWFBCA), 20 years of baseball (Tri-Cities Baseball), 10 years of basketball (Mid-Cities Basketball)and 5 years of baseball (BHS Summer Baseball League). Kyle is currently coaching Outlaws Baseball at Texas Star. MCPWFBCA Board member since 1996 and President 2016. Through his coaching he teaches many life skills to his players.

Ryan Alan Roberts
Athlete Category

Ryan attended Donna Park Elementary, Bedford Junior High and LD Bell High School. While at BHS, his baseball highlights included: 1997,1998,1999 All District, All Northeast Tarrant County by the Fort Worth Star Telegram; 1999 District 6-5A MVP; 1999 Texas  All-State. He attended Eastfield College and won the NJCAA Division III World Series. He was named MAC All-American short stop and All-Conference. His professional career included time with Toronto Blue Jays, Texas Rangers, Arizona Diamondbacks, Tamp Bay Rays, Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox and the Oakland Athletics.

Tony was 1994 National Champion in 50 and 100 freestyle in swimming for Trinity High School. His records still standing at THS are: the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle relay and the 200 medley relay. He has 10 All-American swimming awards. He went to Texas A&M on a full ride swimming scholarship.

The Sports Hall of Fame Annual Charity Golf Tournament

• Venue is The Texas Star Golf Course.
• Event date is Monday, June 1, 2020. 
• Sign-In & Packet Pickup begins at 7:30 am
• For your convenience, you will be able to register and pay online closer to the event to secure your spot. Downloading the registration form and mailing it in with your check is always an option for those who prefer that method.
