Aaron attended Harwood Junior High and Trinity High School. Aaron was phenomenal gymnast who broke and re-broke a total of 41 high school gymnastics records. In 1999, he was the National High School All-Around Champion and he broke the national high school all- around record. In 199, he was Texas High School State All-Around Champion and broke the record on four events. In 1999, Aaron was awarded the “Northeast Texas Sports Performer of the Year” and was named Mr. THS.
Aaron attended the U.S. Air Force Academy on a scholarship where he continued to excel in gymnastics. In 2002 and 2003, he was the team captain. In 2003, he was the USA Gymnastics Senior Collegiate Athlete of the Year; USA National Vault Champion; and a Nissen-Emery Award Finalist which is “The Heisman Trophy” for NCAA Men’s Gymnastics. In addition, Aaron received three times the Most Valuable Gymnast Award and was three time NCAA all-American. His community service involves creating the “Care for Kids Project” located in the Middle East which helps refugees and schools; and the “Panama Kids Project” which helps the indigenous Darien Region kids. Currently, Aaron is an active Colonel in the U.S. Air Force. He is married to his awesome wife Beth for 16 years. They have three wonderful children Matt, MacKenze and Mary. When Aaron is not on military duty, or spending time with his family or community; he is very busy writing. Aaron is the author of several books, and a multitude of various published professional articles, documentaries, and blogs. |
